Another (bad) joke on language?

As usual, The New Yorker cartoon contest provides me with the possibility of creating a cartoon. I wouldn't have a chance in the regular contest, but I've decided to use the picture to make a pun on a point in grammar for my blog. Words have literal and specialised meanings. This is what my joke is about. I could use my cartoon to talk briefly in class about some syntactic operations in derived structures. I could also mention concepts such as connotation, image and irony. A discussion on the role of context, icons, and cultural assumptions in human communication would be tempting as well. My crime is obvious; I've used the cue provided by New Yorker to deal with grammar and linguistics! Bad joke and bad intentionality, I'm guilty of both charges!
